Spectral properties of chaotic signals generated by the skew tent map

چکیده
Chaotic signals have been considered potentially attractive in many signal processing applications ranging from wideband communication systems to cryptography and watermarking. Besides, some devices as nonlinear adaptive filters and phase-locked loops can present chaotic behavior. In this paper, we derive analytical expressions for the autocorrelation sequence, power spectral density and essential bandwidth of chaotic signals generated by the skew tent map. From these results, we suggest possible applications in communication systems. & 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Performance Analysis of Watermarking Schemes Based on Skew Tent Chaotic Sequences
In this paper, statistical analysis of watermarking schemes based on correlation detection is presented. Statistical properties of watermark sequences generated by piecewise-linear Markov maps are exploited, resulting in superior watermark detection reliability. Correlation/spectral properties of such sequences are easily controllable, a fact that reflects on the watermarking system performance...

Correlation/spectral properties of such sequences are easily controllable, a fact that affects the watermarking system performance. A ...
متن کاملImage encryption based on chaotic tent map in time and frequency domains
The present paper is aimed at introducing a new algorithm for image encryption using chaotic tent maps and the desired key image. This algorithm consists of two parts, the first of which works in the frequency domain and the second, in the time domain. In the frequency domain, a desired key image is used, and a random number is generated, using the chaotic tent map, in order to change the phase...
متن کاملPerformance analysis of correlation-based watermarking schemes employing Markov chaotic sequences
In this paper, theoretical performance analysis of watermarking schemes based on correlation detection is undertaken, leading to a number of important observations on the watermarking system detection performance. Statistical properties of watermark sequences generated by piecewise-linear Markov maps are investigated. Correlation/spectral properties of such sequences are easily controllable, a ...
متن کاملA Comparative Study of Chaotic and White Noise Signals in Digital Watermarking
Digital Watermarking is an ever increasing and important discipline, especially in the modern electronically-driven world. Watermarking aims to embed a piece of information into digital documents which their owner can use to prove that the document is theirs, at a later stage. In this paper, performance analysis of watermarking schemes is performed on white noise sequences and chaotic sequences...
